Environmental Professional (EP) – Phase I ESA ConsultantLocation: Ridgeland, MS (Remote report preparation with possible field/site visits)From HM:• On-Call / Project-BasedPotential may be required depending on project locationdirect Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) experience to support potentialenvironmental due diligence and commercial property assessment projects associated withbanking, commercial, municipal, and industrial properties.This position is project-based and on-call based on client and project needs. Position OverviewThe selected individual will support or lead ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental SiteAssessments (Phase I ESA) for commercial and industrial properties. The role may include siteinspections, historical and regulatory research, records review, environmental risk evaluation, and preparation of technical environmental reports.Potential ResponsibilitiesConduct or support ASTM E1527-21 compliant Phase I Environmental Site AssessmentsPerform environmental site inspections and field observationsReview historical property records, aerials, Sanborn maps, and regulatory databasesIdentify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs)Evaluate environmental concerns involving:Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs)Asbestos-containing materials (ACM)Lead-based paint (LBP)Mold/moisture concernsWetlands and environmental compliance issuesCoordinate interviews and site information gatheringPrepare technical Phase I ESA reports and supporting documentationSupport client communication and project coordination Minimum QualificationsExperience conducting or preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) requirementsEnvironmental Professional (EP) qualifications preferredEnvironmental science, geology, engineering, industrial hygiene, or related background preferredExperience with environmental due diligence, site investigations, or environmental assessment work preferredStrong technical writing and report preparation skills bility to conduct site visits and environmental field observations Preferred QualificationsPhase I ESA experienceKnowledge of environmental regulatory databases and historical research toolsExperience with Phase II ESA recommendations or environmental sampling supportProfessional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE), CHMM, or related credentials
