DevOps / Cloud Engineer (GCP / HIPAA)Remote - GMT-05 - US Applicant only - No Visa Sponsor - 1099 ContractWe’re looking for a Cloud or DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a solid background working on US healthcare projects — specifically those requiring HIPAA compliance and handling of PHI (Protected Health Information). You’ll be responsible for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, setting up monitoring, and defining Terraform templates to support a growing system in a secure and scalable way.Key Responsibilities:Design and provision GCP services (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL)Create and manage Terraform modules for scalable infrastructureImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Cloud Monitoring, Logging)Ensure HIPAA/PHI compliance across infrastructureCollaborate with engineering, security, and product teamsQualifications:Hands-on experience with core GCP servicesExperience working on HIPAA-compliant systems or in healthcare environmentsProficiency with Terraform (modular template creation, environment separation, etc.)Familiarity with GCP observability tools (Cloud Monitoring, Logging, etc.)Comfortable working autonomously and documenting work clearlyAble to overlap with GMT-5 timezoneNice to Have:GCP certificationsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflowsExposure to security and compliance automation
