BASH SCRIPT Developer
Overview: The BASH Script Developer will collaborate closely with the Hydro team to migrate existing scripts from c-shell to BASH, engaging in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. The Developer will address code review comments provided by District staff and correct issues flagged by deployment tools.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
3+ years of experience in BASH shell scripting.
3+ years of SQL scripting experience.
3+ years of experience in Java programming.
2+ years with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins.
2+ years of experience using Git for version control.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
Skills:
Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
This scope of work ensures that the BASH Script Developer provides thorough weekly documentation and stays aligned with District requirements, facilitating timely migration and deployment of scripts.
