We are seeking a mission-driven engineer to design and deploy the next generation of resilient network infrastructure supporting critical national security experiments and joint-service demonstrations.In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between complex mission requirements and high-performance network architecture. You will leverage cutting-edge tools across Cisco ecosystems, cloud environments, and virtualized routing to ensure our defense clients maintain a competitive edge through superior connectivity and security.The Role Design, configure, and maintain multi-tier enterprise network architectures for Joint, Service, and Coalition experiments and test events. Lead the deployment of Cisco routers, switches, and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) to increase mission-critical system reliability. Architect scalable and resilient infrastructures utilizing Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF), BGP, OSPF, and optical networking. Drive modernization through cloud migration strategies (AWS/Azure) and the implementation of Zero Trust security frameworks. Troubleshoot complex network outages and performance bottlenecks to ensure maximum availability for high-stakes defense operations.What You'll Need 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineering Lead or Architect specifically within Enterprise Department of Defense (DoD) environments. Deep technical expertise with Cisco hardware, software/hardware firewalls, and virtualization technologies (systems and networking). Proven ability to implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and manage Access Control via Cisco ISE or NAC. Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI eligibility preferred) and IAT Level II compliance (Security+ CE or CCNA).
