The Scale Clerk is responsible for accurately weighing and processing inbound and outbound materials, maintaining detailed transaction records, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will float from Rockville, MD to Middle River, MD as needed, while also coordinating with drivers and site personnel to support efficient yard operations.What You'll AccomplishAccurately weigh inbound and outbound materials using industrial scale systemsRecord and verify shipment data, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standardsCoordinate truck flow by directing drivers to appropriate loading and unloading areasMaintain detailed logs of transactions, tickets, and scale records for auditing purposesCommunicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and yard personnel to streamline operationsIdentify and resolve discrepancies in weights, documentation, or load contentsOperate computerized scale software and data entry systems with high attention to detailSupport inventory tracking by monitoring material movement and reporting inconsistenciesUphold safety protocols and ensure all vehicles meet site and regulatory requirementsProvide administrative support, including filing, reporting, and customer service as neededDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.What We're Looking ForEducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a scale house, logistics, transportation, or similar operations environmentDemonstrated ability to accurately process high-volume transactions with strong attention to detailProficiency in data entry and experience with computerized scale or ticketing systemsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectivelyClear and professional communication skills when interacting with drivers, customers, and internal teamsWorking knowledge of basic documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance standardsAbility to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely and efficient mannerCommitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to established safety protocolsDependable and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing operational needs and schedulesWillingness to support multiple locations as needed and collaborate with team members to meet production goalsAdditional RequirementsSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
