Lunchmeat / Meat Case Stocker (Lunchmeat & Meat Department)

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Deli / Meat Case Stocker to maintain and stock lunchmeat and fresh meat cases in our grocery store in Knox, IN. This role is responsible for ensuring products are well-stocked, fresh, properly rotated, and presented to customers in a clean and organized manner.The ideal candidate is dependable, able to work independently, and takes pride in maintaining quality, freshness, and cleanliness standards.Key ResponsibilitiesStocking & Product HandlingStock lunchmeat, packaged meats, and fresh meat casesConsistently follow proper product rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out) to ensure freshness and minimize wasteCheck and manage product dates daily; remove outdated or damaged itemsKeep cases clean, fully stocked, faced, and organized at all timesQuality & CleanlinessMaintain clean and sanitary work areas and display casesFollow all food safety and handling proceduresMonitor product quality closely and report concerns immediatelyInventory SupportAssist with receiving and properly storing deliveriesHelp track inventory levels and notify management of low stockSupport shrink reduction by maintaining strict rotation and proper handling practicesCustomer ServiceAssist customers with product questions when neededMaintain a friendly and professional attitudeQualificationsPrior grocery, deli, or stocking experience preferred (not required)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and organizationDependable and able to work independentlyWillingness to follow food safety guidelinesPreferred / Nice-to-Have ExperienceExperience working with perishable foods or refrigerated productsFamiliarity with product rotation practices (FIFO)Previous experience in a grocery, deli, or meat departmentExperience working in a fast-paced retail environmentScheduleFlexible scheduling availableWeekends may be requiredMorning and daytime shifts preferredMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningBenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceFlexible scheduleStable, long-term position
