The data we generate provides our clients with the information they need to make critical, well informed, business decisions.UTEC is currently seeking to hire a Senior Data Processor to join their Offshore team in the United States. The Senior Data Processor is responsible for the on-board processing and processing personnel, QC and management of all relevant acquired data including but not limited to hydrographic and/or bathymetric data, as well as the production of associated charts.This is an offshore role and will require a significant amount time spent on a vessel and may take place in inclement weather and extreme temperatures. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, long days, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines. Extensive travel is required.Duties/ResponsibilitiesInspect the quality of raw data as soon as becomes available and notify online if not suitable for processingReview data processing workflow and adapt to project requirements if not suitable. All changes (once complete) will need to be recorded and verified by Data Manager or Project Manager onshoreProcess acquired data sets using the Company's selected processing softwareEnsure all processing/video logs are up to date and feedback progress to Party Chief on regular basisMentor junior processors and their work and provide assistance if requiredQC dataset at each stage of processing sequence to ensure data integrityDiscuss requirements and final deliverables with Party Chief on a regular basis to ensure process workflow is fit for purposeAdhering to company data management policy, ensure all processed data is backed up on both daily and weekly basisCreate/amend charts if requirement of project including creation of project templatesAdhere to Company standards in order to maintain quality management systemsConduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reportsRequirementsEducation in Geomatics/Survey degree are desiredMore than 5 years relevant industry experience is essential in an offshore Senior Data Processing roleTechnical understanding and knowledge of major survey equipment and software used in the offshore survey sectorExcellent Written and Verbal communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExperienced with NaviSuite and VisualSoft SoftwareKnowledge and experience in GIS and SSDM will be an advantageMust be a US Citizen
