CNC Controls Engineer

Fives DyAG is looking to add a CNC Controls Engineer to our team based in Wixom, MI. This person will specialize in CNC control systems and will complete projects for our customer base.ResponsibilitiesWrite complex CNC and PLC programs for machine toolsDesign and layout of new electrical and CNC control systems for retrofit and remanufacture of machine tools and specialized machinesAssist with the construction of complex detailed bills of materialsInstruct and support electrical technicians, electrical engineers, sales engineers, and customers as requiredDocument preliminary and finalized CNC and PLC programsWork closely with electrical technicians to ensure a safe and reliable control system for all machinesResearch and develop new and improved control systems and productsAssist in all aspects of the business that are electrical and control relatedDesign and layout of high voltage schematics and I/OWrite and repair high-level ladder circuits, structured text programs, and parametric programsAssist with final troubleshooting of all electrical and control systemsAssist Purchasing with ordering of CNC control packagesDaily dealings with management, engineers, inspectors, and electrical techniciansOther duties as assignedAble to travel to customer sites for project related work Qualifications Bachelors, Associates Degree, or technical training in Electrical Engineering or related curriculumWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and CNC related softwareStrong background in Siemens and/or Fanuc Control Systems (or others) with working knowledge of old and new CNC systems.
