Security Specialist) - Case Manager-Skill Level 2 Location: Springfield, VASchedule: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PMClearance: Active TS/SCI requiredPosition Type: Full-timePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Security Specialist (Skill Level 2) to support our customer's Personnel Security (PERSEC) Case Management Team. This role provides operational support to personnel security programs through case management, data tracking, reporting, and customer support.The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, Excel, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, maintain accurate security records, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide case management support for established Personnel Security (PERSEC) programsSupport execution and maintenance of daily PERSEC case management operationsProvide technical guidance related to personnel security policies, procedures, and standard operating practicesPrepare and deliver PERSEC program briefings as requiredPrepare written reports, white papers, and official correspondenceResearch and maintain security procedures and program guidanceBrief leadership and stakeholders regarding program requirements and regulatory complianceMaintain and update security databases and records including PeopleSoft, SharePoint, and internal tracking systemsPerform accurate and timely data entry related to personnel security case management activitiesRespond promptly to phone calls and customer email inquiriesMaintain PERSEC customer distribution lists and communication channelsIdentify and escalate case management issues to government team leadsAssist the government PERSEC team with recommendations for program improvementsProvide responsive customer service to internal and external customers regarding security case inquiriesApply personnel security principles and practices to analyze and recommend solutions to complex security issuesPrepare and submit Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) using team templatesMonitor case progress to ensure compliance with IRTPA/DNI mandatesManage case assignment, prioritization, tracking, and reportingMetrics, Reporting, and Data ManagementDevelop and submit DNI Quarterly Metrics ReportsPrepare daily, weekly, monthly, reports and leadership briefing slidesIdentify operational bottlenecks and provide recommendations to leadershipMaintain tracking reports and status reports in PERSEC shared drivesEnsure proper version control and archiving of program documentationMaintain metrics and reporting files in both secure and unsecure environments based on classification requirementsEnsure all case data is current and accurate in PeopleSoft Investigations and Adjudication modulesAdditional Operational SupportMaintain organized and searchable case folders in accordance with investigative branch guidelinesReceive and process Electronic Deliveries (eDels) from customer Investigation Service ProvidersProcess and manage electronic fingerprint submissions in accordance with customer policiesCoordinate ink fingerprinting when electronic capture is unavailableProcess Other Government Agency (OGA) File Procurement Requests for National Agency Checks (NAC)Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in personnel security or related field3-6 years of experience in Personnel Security within DoD or Intelligence Community environmentsExperience with RapBack enrollment/maintenance guidelinesExperience obtaining ink fingerprinting if electronic capturing is unavailableProcess Other Government Agency File Procurement Request for National Agency Checks (NAC)Knowledge of PERSEC security regulations Active Top Secret / SCI clearanceStrong administrative and Excel skillsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience managing security databases and case management systemsStrong written communication skills for reporting and documentationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to meet strict timelines and federal investigative standardsKey SkillsPersonnel Security Case ManagementSecurity Records and Database ManagementMicrosoft Excel and Data TrackingCustomer Service and Stakeholder SupportSecurity Reporting and Metrics DevelopmentCompliance with Federal Investigative StandardsPreferred SkillsExperience with PeopleSoft security modulesExperience supporting Intelligence Community security programsExperience with security metrics reporting and investigative case tracking
