Job Title: Controller – Real Estate Investment (Multi-Entity)Job Type: Full-timeJob Summary: Our investment firm is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience specifically within the real estate sector (Residential and Commercial) and a deep familiarity with multi-entity accounting and treasury management. We need a leader who is ready to document processes, manage internal changes, and maintain high-level accuracy in a complex environment.Key Responsibilities:Full-cycle multi-entity accounting.Management of intercompany "Due To / Due From" accounts.Overseeing AP, AR, and daily Treasury Management.Developing and implementing departmental SOPs.Producing monthly/quarterly Owner Statements.Prepare detailed financial reports, analysis, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.Ensuring all state and local compliance requirements are met.Oversee the general ledger accounting process, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing activities.Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and monitor cash management activities to optimize liquidity and safeguard assets.Supervise the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance on technical accounting issues such as debits & credits, payroll processing, and financial software utilizationQualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required).License: CPA preferred.Experience: 5+ years in Accounting (Required).Industry Experience: Residential, Commercial, Hard Money, IRAsSoftware: High proficiency in AppFolio and QuickBooks (Required)Personal Attributes:Highly motivated and hungry for professional growth.Comfortable managing change and optimizing "as-is" systems.Work Location: In person
