Headquartered near Basel, Switzerland, Solvias operates six global Centers of Excellence, all adhering to the highest ISO, GMP, GLP, and FDA standards.Position OverviewLocated at our large molecule headquarters in RTP, North Carolina, the Senior Accountant supports a dynamic, multi entity financial environment spanning two U.S. sites, and includes a remote worker population across several states. Success in this role demands the ability to pivot quickly, think on their feet, and tailor accounting approaches to the unique needs of each site while actively working toward a standardized, scalable financial framework across the entire U.S. footprint—ensuring consistent accuracy, compliance, and reporting organization wide. The position requires strong analytical capability, cross functional communication, and the ability to navigate varying state level regulations and operational nuances.The position is a fully onsite role at our new facility in Morrisville, NC. May require up to 10% travel domestically.Critical Performance AreasMaintaining clean, reconciled books for each entity and ensuring proper intercompany eliminations.Delivering timely, accurate reporting for each U.S. entity.Completing consolidated and entity level close within established timelines.Ensuring adherence to GAAP and internal controls across all sites.Accurate tracking, reconciliation, and settlement of intercompany transactions.Implementing consistent accounting processes across entities and locations.Providing financial insights to site leaders, operations, and corporate teams.Successfully drive the remaining phases of the ERP rollout across both entities, ensuring full adoption, data integrity, and alignment with operational needs.Spearhead the rollout of additional finance technologies that streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and support long term growth.Essential Job FunctionsManage GL activity for multiple entities, including accruals, allocations, and reconciliations.Prepare consolidated financial statements and lead entity level and consolidated close processes.Produce site level P&Ls, balance sheets, and variance analyses.Maintain intercompany schedules, reconcile balances, and coordinate settlements.Prepare audit documentation and support external auditors.Assist with multi site budgets and rolling forecasts.Support federal and state tax filings and regulatory reporting.Review transactions across entities for accuracy and proper coding; AP/AR Oversight.Identify opportunities to streamline workflows across sites.Partner with site managers to ensure financial accuracy and operational alignment.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field with at least 5 years of accounting experience, including multi-entity or multi-site environments.CPA or CMA strongly preferred.Experience with D365 required.Strong understanding of GAAP; familiarity with state-specific compliance considerations.Other Desired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to interpret financial data across diverse business units.Ability to anticipate needs, resolve issues independently, and escalate appropriatelyWillingness to learn and carry out new and complex tasks.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.Strong Excel skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with European Accounting Standards.Experience with WIP based revenue recognition.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
