Environmental Consultant - Due Diligence
Applied Environmental is a growing, full-service environmental consulting firm with a successful history and a FUN and dynamic company culture headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan with offices in Detroit and Grand Rapids. Typical clients include municipalities, lending institutions, developers, and real estate investors.We are seeking an entry to mid-level (1-5 years of experience) Environmental Scientist. Candidates should be prepared for professional growth into such areas as Phase II ESAs, regulatory interaction, Brownfield redevelopment, site remediation, and project management.Job description includes:· Completion of Environmental Risk Reviews· Completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments· Assistance on Phase II Environmental Site Assessments· Field sampling of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media· Write technical reports and interact with clients· Assist in preparation of project summaries, figures, and tabulating analytical data Successful candidates MUST have:· 1 to 5 years of environmental consulting experience· BA/BS degree in Environmental Science/Engineering/Geology· Valid driver’s license· Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency· Strong organization skills· Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills· Working knowledge of ASTM standards for Transaction Screens, Phase I ESAs, and Phase II ESAs· 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred Why Work Here at Applied Environmental?Our core focus is to provide a company culture which promotes empowering its staff and offers a rewarding and dynamic work environment, employing people who are passionate in their field.
