Primary Therapist

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for a Primary Therapist located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Primary Therapist will provide direct therapeutic services, including individual and group therapy sessions, and collaborate with patients to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Additional responsibilities include conducting assessments, addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, offering support and counseling to families, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation. The Primary Therapist will also work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and support for patient recovery. Qualifications Proficiency in Treatment Planning and developing individualized care plansExperience in Social Work and Chemical Dependency servicesSkills in Case Management, including organizing resources and coordinating careUnderstanding and knowledge in Dual Diagnosis: addressing both mental health and substance use disordersCSAC, CSAC-S, Licensure or other eligibility for providing therapy services in VirginiaStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsDedication to providing compassionate and ethical client careExperience in addiction therapy or mental health settings is highly beneficial
