This role involves ensuring system performance, reliability, and scalability while supporting critical infrastructure, storage, and disaster recovery operations.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the subject matter expert for IBM mainframe and z/OS.Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and third-party tools (CA, BMC, Endevor, TopSecret, etc.).Perform CICS administration, system tuning, and capacity planning.Manage mainframe storage, tape systems, and DR planning/testing.Support system upgrades, patches, and performance optimization.Collaborate with IT leadership on modernization initiatives (Linux, cloud readiness).Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across mainframe systems.Qualifications:10+ years as a Mainframe Systems Programmer in large-scale environments.Expertise in IBM z/OS, CICS, storage/tape management, and mainframe hardware.Strong experience with system upgrades, DR, and capacity planning.Familiarity with IDMS, security tools, and workload management.Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects and provide technical leadership.
