OverviewWe're looking for a licensed Zumba Gold instructor to lead classes for older adults and participants with limited mobility. We are determined: above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead group exercise classes incorporating warm-ups, core activity, and cool-downsSet up equipment before class and store it securely afterwardCreate a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for members of all fitness levelsTrack class attendance and note new or absent participantsMaintain safety in all classes following YMCA and national certification guidelinesKeep up with fitness trends and continuing education requirementsCommunicate any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to management promptlyUse provided microphone equipment during classQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderCurrent CPR/AED and First Aid certificationOne or more of the following qualifications:National group fitness certification: ACE, AFAA, NCSM, or equivalentSpecialty format training: Zumba Gold* A warm, encouraging teaching style that connects with participants of all fitness levels* Ability to pass an audition with our fitness director - a friendly, low-pressure opportunity to show your teaching style
