Engineering Technician
Compensation: $25.67 per hour.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for conducting instrumented testing by following defined protocols to ensure that machines and components meet all necessary product performance standards.
Core Responsibilities
Prepare test environments by configuring fixtures, modifying parts, and installing necessary instrumentation.
Operate both mechanical and computer-based control systems to run required testing procedures.
Ensure accurate data capture by utilizing various analog and digital measurement tools.
Improve team efficiency by maintaining clear communication with engineers regarding test outcomes, status updates, and any emerging issues.
Restore the testing area to its original state by performing teardowns, cleaning, and resetting equipment after tests conclude.
Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or an equivalent educational background.
Foundational knowledge regarding heat transfer principles.
Basic familiarity with electrical systems and PLC programming logic.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to operate metalworking machinery and power tools.
Maintain physical readiness to lift loads up to 50 lbs.
Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
Fundamental understanding of mechanical systems.
Capacity to work autonomously while following general guidance from leadership.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
Additional Skills
An Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Working knowledge of components and systems related to refrigeration.
Compensation and Benefits Overview:
The base pay for this position is $25.67 per hour. Non-exempt staff members receive overtime pay at 1.5 times their regular rate for any hours exceeding 40 per week, or as mandated by local or state regulations. Final compensation is determined based on your specific experience, education, and skill set.
