Software Engineer

Role: Software Development EngineerLocation: Irvine, CA / Bellevue WA (Hybrid) (Onsite 3 days in a week)Job type: ContractWhat You'll DoDesign, develop, and enhance highly scalable full-stack applications in the Amazon ecosystem.Build new platform capabilities and feature enhancements for enterprise-scale inventory management systems.Develop high-quality, maintainable code that meets Amazon's engineering standards.Design and implement APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.Build cloud-native solutions using AWS services and Amazon Builder Tools.Contribute to AI integration initiatives, DevOps, automated testing, deployment, and system optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.Troubleshoot, test, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability.Required Qualifications7–10+ years of software development experience.1+ year of hands-on experience with Amazon Builder Tools while working at Amazon or AWS.8+ years developing backend applications using Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar languages.3+ years of frontend development using React or comparable JavaScript frameworks.Strong experience designing and developing large-scale software applications.Experience developing cloud-native solutions with AWS CDK.Hands-on experience with:AWS LambdaStep FunctionsSQSSNSDynamoDBCloudWatchRDSRedshiftS3OpenSearchExperience building RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.Strong understanding of software design, testing, deployment, and DevOps best practices.Proficiency with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
