Our Commissioning division partners with clients across data centers and mission-critical environments to validate that systems are designed, installed, and performing at the highest level.We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who brings deep technical expertise, field leadership, and the ability to drive outcomes in high-performance environments.Why This Role Stands OutThis is a position for someone who:Owns system performance from design through executionUnderstands how complex mechanical systems operate as a wholeCan identify and solve issues before they impact operationsYou will work on large-scale, mission-critical data center projects where performance, reliability, and precision are non-negotiable.What You will DoProject Leadership & ExecutionLead commissioning activities across the full lifecycle of a data center build to include L1-L5Execute functional testing, witness testing, and system validationManage assignments within schedule, budget, and quality expectationsTechnical Expertise & Problem SolvingEvaluate HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, and automation systemsTroubleshoot system performance issuesReview design documentationClient Engagement• Lead meetings and communicate findings• Build relationships with clients and contractorsOperational Contributions• Complete reports and manage time and expensesTeam Development• Mentor junior engineers and support trainingWhat You BringCore QualificationsDegree in HVACR, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years experience in commissioning engineering3+ years of Data center experience requiredTechnical Capabilities• Experience with HVAC, controls, automation, fire safety systems• Ability to read construction documentsProfessional Skills• Strong communication and problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements• Ability to work in field environments and lift 30 lbsPreferred• EIT, CEM, OSHA 30, BIM experience, Facility GridTravel RequirementsTravel to project sites as needed based on project demands.Why FSTAt FST, we value execution, accountability, and expertise.
