Training Specialist

Training Specialist SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with flexibility and occasional evening and/or weekend hours Pays $25.12 per hour DOE LOCATION: 444 Harrison Ave., 6th Floor SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to employees across the organization. This individual will work closely with department managers to identify training needs and develop effective learning solutions. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong presentation and facilitation skills. They should also have a solid understanding of adult learning principles and be able to create engaging and interactive training materials and activities. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/TRAINING: REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field PREFERRED: Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) certification via Association for Talent Development CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Instructor certification (or the ability to become certified) Experience in Human Services or Behavioral Health sectors KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a corporate setting Strong presentation and facilitation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies Experience delivering training programs in a variety of formats (classroom, virtual, blended) Superior project management skills and proven experience in connecting people and projects across functional areas Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint), Zoom and experience with learning management systems Strong emotional intelligence, self-awareness and ability to lead with empathy and inquiry Experience developing trusting relationships with colleagues PREFERRED: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $52,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to Commute: Boston, MA 02118 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Boston, MA 02118: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Boston, MA 02118
