Job Description Quality Control InspectorPay: $18.00 per hourLocation: Austin, TX 78725Schedule: Project-based; current opening 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM; overtime and weekend hours as assignedStart: Immediate openingsJob Type: Contract | Project-basedPay Frequency: Weekly payAbout the RoleShareSTAFF is hiring Quality Control Inspectors for third-party inspection, sortation, and containment assignments at a quality assurance and inspection facility in Austin, Texas. As a Quality Control Inspector on our team, you will perform independent visual inspections of automotive and electric vehicle (EV) components and assemblies, identify defects, document findings, and help ensure that non-conforming items are properly contained before reaching the production line or end customer. This is project-based work supporting major automotive and EV manufacturers in the Austin region, with schedules that adjust to client production needs.What You'll DoPerform visual inspections of automotive and EV components and assemblies against client specificationsIdentify defects such as scratches, dents, stains, stitching or finish flaws, and missing or damaged partsSort, contain, and segregate non-conforming material per client and industry quality protocolsDocument findings using client inspection forms, tracking systems, and daily reportsCommunicate quality issues to supervisors and on-site quality engineersSupport rework and repack activities and prepare inspected items for shipment to the production line or end customerMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility standardsFollow all client facility safety, PPE, and quality system requirementsWhat You Bring - RequiredAt least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environmentStrong attention to detail and the ability to spot small visual defectsAbility to stand for 8–12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs continually throughout a shiftWillingness to work variable project-based shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as neededAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for documentation and team coordination (Spanish speakers welcome)Reliable transportation to the Austin worksiteMust be able to complete pre-placement requirementsWhat You Bring - PreferredPrior experience as a Quality Control Inspector, Quality Inspector, QC Technician, Quality Auditor, or Sortation/Containment InspectorExperience inspecting automotive components, EV battery components, seats, interiors, or other manufactured assembliesFamiliarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, CS1/CS2)Experience with third-party quality assurance, sorting, or containment workSteel-toed boots and willingness to follow a standard warehouse dress code (solid-color shirts, jeans without rips or holes)Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skillsWhat We OfferWeekly pay - every FridayMedical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employeesTemp-to-hire opportunities with many of our client partnersDedicated recruiter support throughout your assignmentReferral bonuses - earn extra when you refer a friendAbout ShareSTAFFShareSTAFF has been a trusted staffing partner for businesses across California's Central Valley, the Bay Area, and the Austin region for more than a decade.
