Embedded Software Engineer II
Overview
In this role you will contribute to the design, development and maintenance of embedded software for safety-critical radar, surveillance, and communications systems. You will work within the Radar and Surveillance team in Farmingdale, NY to deliver robust software across the full development lifecycle. You’ll develop with C++, embedded Linux (PetaLinux), and RTOS, driving verification and validation activities. This position supports a DoD-facing program and requires clear communication and a mindset of continuous improvement. You’ll help shape next-generation aerospace software solutions with a focused, mission-driven team.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain embedded software systems using C++, embedded Linux (PetaLinux), and RTOS for safety-critical applicationsSupport software design, development, testing, debugging and maintenance to meet industry, customer, safety and regulatory standardsDevelop software verification plans, test procedures, and environments; document results to ensure requirements are metFoster a continuous improvement cultureGenerate software requirement specifications based on system designDevelop top-level architecture and detailed designs for software components and systemsDefine and document interfaces between software components and systemsSupport system verification and validation activities including hardware/software integration, design verification testing, acceptance tests, and customer-witnessed testing
