What You’ll Work OnThe Machinist II Fabricates metallic and nonmetallic parts by applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques, operating conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers. Checks blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to validate dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequences of operations, and setup requirements.You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks Complete related machining assignments with accuracy and proficiency. Use mill-turn machining equipment, preferably Mori Seiki machines to produce manufactured products. Perform self-inspection of parts and assume responsibility for producing good-quality parts. Help maintain equipment by observing regular maintenance procedures. Keep the work area clean and well-organized.What We're Looking ForHigh School diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years’ experience with machining centers and modifying programs.Certificate of Machining Technology or formal training in area of specialty.Able to read and interpret engineering blueprints.An individual who is aligned with our ARCTIC Values (Accountable, Respectful, Client-Centric, Team-Oriented, Innovative, Continually Improving)Someone who places importance on working hard, having fun, and building great relationships with your peers.Work Environment Typical machine shop environment.
