Job title: ELS Analyst Location: Austin TXTemp to hireGeneral Overview:This position will primarily perform preparatory and analytical methods within a defined laboratory section or discipline.Assists with troubleshooting of instrumentation, equipment, and analytical methodologies to ensure production goals are met.Assists with required maintenance and repairs as needed by communicating to more experienced staff and management the troubleshooting observations, and records all maintenance performed in LIMS.Responsible for performing basic laboratory testing and analysis in compliance with standard operating procedures.Performs analytical methods by conducting sample preparation and analysis for laboratory instrument/equipment within a laboratory section of discipline, which includes making observations, analyzing data (including any sample preparatory batch information), and interpreting results.Performs analytical calculations and documents results.Enters data in LIMS and maintains raw data records of analysis for review.Assists with troubleshooting of instrumentation, equipment, and analytical methodologies to ensure production goals are met.Assists with required maintenance and repairs as needed by communicating to more experienced staff and management the troubleshooting observations, and records all maintenance performed in LIMS.Assists with reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed or as assigned.Ensures complete compliance with all Environmental Laboratory Services (ELS) SOPs.Monitors consumable inventory for assigned section(s) and enters items to be ordered in LIMS.May perform all ELS Technician level dutiesThis general overview only includes essential functions of the job and does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
