Program Overview The Quality Apprenticeship Program cultivates Quality Technicians through structured, competency-based training that blends technical learning, hands‑on practice, and leadership development. Apprentices work across three domains: Batch Room Quality Functions, Laboratory Analysis, and Packaged Quality, building technical mastery and reinforcing the connection between Quality, Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance.
Responsibilities Perform quality control tasks in batching, lab, and packaged quality.
Sample and test bulk ingredients.
Verify lot numbers and item accuracy of batch kits.
Accurately document quality data in a timely manner.
Calibrate lab equipment such as pH meters, automatic titrators, DMAs, and refractometers.
Collect and analyze in‑process product samples to verify Brix, pH, Titratable Acidity, and other parameters meet specifications.
Analyze data to identify trends or risks to product integrity or safety.
Support seam inspections, pasteurization validation (data logger analysis), and sanitation verification using ATP swabbing.
Perform packaging quality checks.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Batching, and other departments to ensure seamless quality operations.
Adhere to escalation procedures and implement reaction plans as necessary.
Drive continuous improvement of quality standards and contribute to a strong Quality Culture.
Support the implementation of quality and food safety procedures under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor.
Qualifications Completed coursework in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
Prior experience in beverage manufacturing or quality control.
Excellent communication skills and a team player.
Strong personal computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WHS systems).
Ability to work under pressure in an extremely fast‑paced environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions Work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation. Reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist. Stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance for 10‑12 hours. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Nearly all decisions require a close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
