As a CNA, you will provide essential care and support to residents, assisting them with activities of daily living and promoting their comfort and well-being.Essential DutiesProvide residents' care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) daily and as neededChange bed linen and regularly maintain appropriate grooming supplies in the resident's roomAmbulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanicsRecord resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assignedRoutinely turn and position residents as necessary. Preparing each resident’s room with necessary items such as blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and toiletriesEnsure a report has been given regarding his/her residents at the beginning of each shiftRespond to call lights/buzzers promptly and courteously, considering each light an emergency until answeredSeek assistance from the charge nurse when unsure of an assignment, procedure, or situationProvide care that protects and promotes resident rights, dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and active participationOffer and respect resident choices and handle all resident property with respectRefer to residents by proper names unless the resident requests otherwise, avoid the use of all pet namesObserve and immediately report to Charge Nurse, ADON or DON unusual occurrences, significant changes in resident’s physical or behavioral condition, patterns of decreased social interaction, angry or sad behaviors, and refusals of treatmentWork Experience RequirementsCertified Nurses Aide License and current CPR certificationPrior experience giving personal care to individuals in a health care setting preferredEffective verbal and written English communication skillsHighest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentialityEnthusiasm and a positive attitudeWork independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leaderDemonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skillsMaintain good working relationships with residents and co-workersAbility to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach and sit for long periodsWillingness to perform additional duties as assignedWhat We OfferWe offer On-Demand Pay so you can access wages you’ve already earned between paydays.
