This position plays an important role in supporting both the hotel’s lunch service and Shula’s evening operations through food preparation, station setup, and line support.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team.ScheduleTypical schedule is 10:00 AM – 6:00 PMFlexibility is required based on business levels, events, and operational needsWeekends and holidays may be requiredEssential ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients, cook, and assemble dishes according to recipes and chef specificationsSupport lunch service operations for the hotel restaurant and banquet outlets as neededComplete prep work for Shula’s dinner line and assist with opening line setupEnsure all dishes are prepared in a timely and consistent mannerRestock ingredients and maintain organized workstations to support smooth kitchen operationsFollow portion control standards and minimize waste to maintain food cost goalsSet up and clean stations according to restaurant and kitchen protocolsMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tables, shelves, and prep areasComply with all sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standardsMonitor quality and freshness of ingredients and productsAssist with additional kitchen duties as assigned by the Line Supervisor, Sous Chef, or Executive ChefQualificationsPrevious line cook or prep cook experience requiredAbility to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environmentStrong attention to detail and time management skillsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsTeam-oriented attitude with strong communication skillsKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesWhat are we looking for?CompensationPyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
