WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILSWe're seeking an experienced Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of construction projects from startup through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and partners closely with project managers to ensure accurate billing and strong financial performance. In addition to project accounting duties, this position will include office management duties and assistance in project start-ups and close-outs. This is a 100% in-office position based in Scottsdale, AZ.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGPrepare and submit monthly owner and lender billings (AIA format) Track job costs and collaborate with project managers on project financials Process and manage subcontractor pay applications Monitor billing, collections, and project cash flow Track and support change order documentation Communicate with clients and title companies to ensure timely approvals and funding Identify and resolve discrepancies in project accounting Work with project managers and superintendents to assist in project start up and close out.Work with Human Resources on the onboarding and training of new staff.Day-to-day office management tasks. #ZRRequirements:WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING TO THE TABLE5+ years of project accounting experience in commercial construction Strong knowledge of cost accounting and AIA billing (G702/G703, lien waivers, sworn statements) Advanced Excel skills Experience with systems like Spectrum, Vista, Procore, or similar (Spectrum preferred) Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance WHAT WILL SET YOU ABOVEMaster's in Accounting, Finance of relevant field. 8+ years of project accounting experience in commercial construction Expert knowledge of cost accounting and AIA billing (G702/G703, lien waivers, sworn statements) Additional accounting certifications outside of the required educational experienceWHAT WE OFFER YOUCompetitive industry salary commensurate on experienceMedical Insurance: 70/30 employer split starting the 1st of the month after first 60 daysLife/Dental/Vision/LTD: 100% employer covered starting the 1st of the month after first 60 days5 Sick Days10 Accrued Vacation Days through the year8 Paid Holidays401K MatchRecruiters and Staffing Agencies: This role is being vetted through our internal recruiting team.
