Based in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area, this position involves providing specialized care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. Responsibilities include pre-operative and post-operative patient management, assisting in surgical procedures, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patient education to ensure high-quality outcomes. APPs will adhere to protocols while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.QualificationsExpertise in Cardiovascular Surgery and familiarity with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, VAD experience will augment application but not a deal breaker Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills relevant to patient careAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with both colleagues and patientsKnowledge of medical protocols and guidelines related to cardiovascular proceduresCertification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), with appropriate licensureMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in cardiovascular surgery or relevant clinical practiceCommitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining the highest level of professional ethicsBasic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
