Project Construction Safety Manager

Project Construction Safety ManagerResponsibilities:Implement, promote, and maintain the site-specific Safety PlanConduct safety inductions for all site employees and subcontracted staffCoordinate and ensure all site personnel are properly inducted into the customer's safety programExecute daily and weekly safety inspections; report and correct findingsVerify subcontractors have all required permits to work and assist in obtaining necessary documentationEnsure daily toolbox talks are conducted, signed by workers, and properly filedOrganize and lead weekly safety meetings for the site teamCollect worked hours for all site personnel and subcontracted staff and generate monthly reportsInvestigate and report all incidents involving site employees and subcontractorsAssist in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Work Method Statements (WMS)Participate in customer safety meetings and actively support execution of the safety programManage site drug and alcohol program (if applicable)Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health OR Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OR OSHA 500 certificationMinimum 6 years of safety management or site safety leadership experienceConstruction experience preferredStrong understanding of legal health and safety regulationsOSHA 10- and 30-hour certificationsAbility to produce reports and develop relevant safety policiesKnowledge of data analysis and risk assessmentStrong attention to detail and observation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesValid qualification in occupational health and safetyDemonstrated ability to identify potential exposures and implement corrective actionsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and train othersHigh School Diploma required; Technical degree preferred
