Production Technician
Summary
United Equipment is looking for a Production Technician primarily responsible for fabrication and assembly of replacement aircraft components. Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, maintain a high standard of quality for their work and anything they might review or inspect, and be capable of accurately and efficiently handling an assignment from start to finish. This position will also support the quality assurance program by performing and documenting ongoing quality checks and final inspections, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous product and process improvement.
Job Details
Use of hand and power tools (router, table saw, drill press, belt sander, etc.) to cut, route, sand, and otherwise manipulate materials such as acrylic, polycarbonate, fiberglass, aluminum, and plywood
Operation of a tabletop CNC router, primarily to machine acrylic or plywood components
Low heat forming of acrylic and polycarbonate
Product inspection using digital calipers and check gauges
Occasional product packaging per standard commercial, or military, specifications
Required Experience & Education
5+ years of fabrication or assembly experience. Carpentry experience welcome.
Familiarity with the use and maintenance of basic hand and power tools including those previously mentioned
Proficiency using calipers
Ability to read and interpret standard fabrication drawings
Attention to detail and an unwillingness to sacrifice quality
Good communication skills
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with CNC routing, including basic programming and machine operation
Experience with plastic materials and forming methods
Experience working in an ISO 9001 certified production environment or similar
Related technical education or certifications
