Adjunct Faculty, Neuroanatomy

OverviewA faculty member with the rank of instructor in neuroanatomy is responsible to teach in the lecture and/or laboratory setting. He/she is assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which he/she has suitable training and experience.ResponsibilitiesThe following outlines the basic responsibilities of this position. Other duties are to be assigned as necessary.Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topicsParticipate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods) as assignedPromote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needsProvide reports, budgetary information. and other documents (as requested by department chairs) directors, and deansAdvise and mentor studentsParticipate in medical student admission interviewsQualificationsEducation / Experience Graduate level degree (Master's or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section.Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Proficiency in the following areas: Relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict management.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as software used to prepare and administer written exams electronically and experience with Learning Management Systems.
