Neuro Universal Bed Unit – 22 bed unit Mixed acuity unit specializing in neurosurgery, stroke with a variety of other diagnosis Growth opportunities within the unit and beyond Innovative with the first Henry Ford Virtual Nursing program Care is evidence-based with high nursing autonomyProvides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.Education/Experience RequiredBSN preferred.Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hireCompletion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.Preferred QualificationsBachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)Minimum 1 year hospital inpatient RN experienceExperience with cardiac monitoring, titrating vasoactive drips, post-surgical care, post PCI care, and chest tubesProfessional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellenceParticipation in Professional Advancement Ladder (PAL)Certifications/Licensures RequiredCurrent licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
