Sr. DevOps Solutions Engineer

Senior DevOps Solutions Engineer (Onsite Only / No remote / No hybrid) Overview: Softtek Government Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Solutions Engineer to join our federal technology services consulting practice. This is a hands-on senior technologist role that works collaboratively with other technical leaders in the organization to design and develop technical solutions for custom software development projects. Migrate legacy custom software applications to modern DevSecOps pipelines using Git, Github Actions, Github Codespaces, Github Copilot, Kubernetes. You should have full-stack development experience and extensive experience implementing DevSecOps solutions with a variety of technologies. You will interface with senior IT SMEs to collaboratively design large-scale IT application solutions using sound architectural approaches. You will lead through expertise and sound decision-making that considers benefits, risks, and technical dependencies. You will innovate development team techniques and practices through continuous improvement. You should have enthusiasm for driving teams to deliver high-quality software. Prior experience working with Federal government customers is required. You will be onsite at the customer offices Monday through Friday in downtown Washington, DC, near the Farragut West metro station. Objectives of this role:Designing, planning, and implementing DevSecOps, CI/CD, pipelines that build, test, scan, and package custom software applicationsExperience merging pull requests and resolving conflicts in collaboration with devsIdentifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixesWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development practices are guided by and constrained appropriately through the use of automated validation, unit tests, commit processes, linting, etc.Planning projects and being involved in project management decisionsDevelop software to integrate with internal back-end systemsPerform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issuesDevelop scripts to automate visualizationDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceDeploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical supportBuild tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience Required skills and qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (or commensurate experience)Required Experience:8+ years of experience leading software development projects/programsHands on experience programming full stack applications with the following technology stackFront End: TypeScript, JS, CSS, HTML, Figma, Angular, Material, Node, NPM, Jasmine, Karma, Github Codespaces, VS Code, Git, Playwright, JIRABackend: C#, NET 8, Swagger, REST, JSON, XUnit, PostgreSQL database, PGAdmin, SQL, PgSQL, PgModelerDevSecOps: Python, Bash, Node, Git, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, YAML, GrafanaVery high level of verbal language proficiencyPreference given to Big 4 consulting experience in Federal government sectorAbility to convincingly explain the rationale for technology decisionsExperience working with project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Project)Full-time employees (no 1099 or corp-to-corp)US Citizenship Required Clearance:Preference given to candidates with a Top-Secret clearance (active or recently active)Must be able to pass background screening and re-investigationMust be able to work in a SCIF About Softtek Government Solutions: Softtek Government Solutions is a professional services firm focused on addressing our nation's most complex threats and challenges.
