This is an unarmed position responsible for maintaining site security, protecting company assets, and ensuring a safe and compliant environment for patients and staff.The Security Guard plays a critical role in monitoring access controls, conducting surveillance, and supporting daily operations. This position reports directly to the Assistant Dispensary Store Manager (ADSM) and Store Manager.Candidates must be available to work a flexible, rotating schedule, including opening, mid-day, and closing shifts, based on business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain site security protocols in accordance with company policy and state regulationsMonitor restricted access areas and verify credentials upon entryConduct routine interior and exterior perimeter inspectionsSupervise CCTV systems and monitor live surveillance feedsSupport product deliveries and ensure secure transfer of inventoryMaintain strict access control and visitor logsDe-escalate tense or potentially risky situations using professional conflict-resolution techniquesProtect company assets, patients, and team membersCoordinate with management regarding security concerns or incidentsComplete required incident documentation accurately and promptlyMaintain a visible, professional presence at the storefrontRequired QualificationsPrior experience in security, loss prevention, or related protective services roleStrong observational skills and attention to detailAbility to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situationsExperience with CCTV systems or surveillance monitoring preferredStrong communication and de-escalation skillsAbility to follow structured protocols and regulatory requirementsFlexibility to work rotating shifts, including opening and closingWhat You BringAccountabilityCommitment to safety and complianceReliability and punctualityStrong sense of responsibility for asset protectionProfessionalismCalm and composed demeanorRespectful communication with patients and staffDiscretion and confidentialityAdaptabilityAbility to assess evolving situationsQuick, sound decision-makingComfort working in a dynamic retail environmentBonus If You HaveExperience in regulated industries (cannabis, pharmacy, banking, etc.)Formal security training or certificationsProven experience in incident response and documentationStrong situational awareness and a preventative mindset
