Transportation Fleet Manager / Dispatcher

To plan a fleet of trucks / trailers / drivers to ensure optimum productivity, services levels, and revenue, as well as understanding and meeting the needs of our customers and drivers in the transportation industry. $60,000 - $65,000/year dependent upon experience Schedule: Monday - Friday and Saturday when needed Time: 10:00AM - 8:00PM Responsibilities: Scheduling and assigning drivers and vehicles Reviews next day/week deliveries and pick-ups and develops a dispatch plan Enters all assignments into database (TMW Suite) Notifies drivers of daily assignments Tracks Drivers out on delivery/pick-up Assists Drivers in troubleshooting when necessary Conducts performance discussions and trainings Communicates with customers to assist in scheduling daily/weekly activities Informs customer of delivery/pick-up times. Answers customer questions about delivery/pick-up. Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the transportation field Familiar with standard concepts of scheduling and dispatching Ability to multi-task effectively Knowledge of DOT and state specific safety regulations Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve Communicate clearly: verbal and written Valid Driver's License TMW Suite experience preferred but not required College preferred Venture Express, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
