Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Behavioral Health TechnicianREPORTS TO: Residential ManagerDIRECT REPORTS: Not applicableOUR MISSIONThe mission of Queen of Peace Center is to break the cycle of substance use disorders for women, children and families through family-centered behavioral healthcare.As demonstrated by the life of Jesus Christ, Queen of Peace Center works to build a future of peace for families.Position DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Residential Manager, the Behavioral Health Technician will perform designated non-clinical tasks that promote the overall health and well-being for both inpatient and outpatient clients. Provide exceptional direct and supportive services to include crisis management, assist with therapeutic activities and the facilitation of groups. These duties will be performed in a highly professional and enthusiastic manner in direct alignment with the mission, vision and values of Queen of Peace Center.Core FunctionsThe following job-related functions may not include all of the duties, knowledge or abilities associated with this position:Assist clients in meeting goals as developed by the treatment team.Provide continuous supervision of clients ensuring compliance with scheduled servicesComplete intake, orientation, explain rules, complete introductions to encourage participationComplete safety check of client's personal belongingsMaintain confidentiality as dictated by HIPAAMonitor/Supervise client participation in assigned activities/requirementsAnswer phones professionallyDocument any and all concerns related to clients behavior in daily shift log and in Electronic Health Record and communicate to proper staff membersMaintain a clean and safe environment in addition to supervising choresMonitor vital signs as requiredServe as a positive role modelComplete documentation of group logs and following safety and programmatic protocolsAdhere to medication policies and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure all medication protocols are followed and charted accurately and appropriatelyComplete daily progress notes for each client within program guidelinesFacilitate assigned and scheduled groups as requestedScreen and monitor detoxification clientsMaintain licensure (LIMA, CPR, FA)Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation, Experience, and TrainingMinimum of a High School Diploma/GED or an Associate's degree in human services or other related field preferredCPR/First Aid and Med-Level 1 CertificationMissouri Class E driver's license or other comparable licensePreferred 2 years' experience working in a residential setting, preferably in substance use or behavioral healthOral and written communication skillsCompensation DataJob Type: Part-timePay: From $16.00 per hourShort DescriptionJob Type: Part-TimeIf benefit eligible:Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftEvening shiftHolidaysNight shiftOvernight shiftWeekends as neededExperience:Behavioral health: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Work Location: In personQueen of Peace Center does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its federally assisted programs and activities.
