Machine Operator

Job Description Schedule: This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire position. Normal hours of work are Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required, including some weekends.Day Shift – 7:00AM-3:30PM, Swing Shift – 3:00PM-11:30pm, Graveyard – 11:00pm-7:30amThe machine operator position sets up, controls, and maintains rotational molding machines and accessories. Operator will perform preliminary post-production work on molded parts.RESPONSIBILITIESSets up and breaks down molds, machines, and work area to start production cycleMeasures and feeds plastic resin into moldsInspects finished product and removal of excess flashingResolves/repairs production related issuesEnsures machines are functioning properlyKeeps records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintains activity logsAdheres to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear/PPE)Adheres to company standards for shop-wide housekeeping practicesCOMPETENCIESDemonstrates trainability in use of tools, equipment, and forkliftAbility to read instructions, productions sheets and equipment manualsWritten and verbal communication skillsPhysical stamina and strengthAttention to detailReliable transportationSolid work historyProven experience as a machine operator or related dutiesWork Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odors and/or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
