The Manager, Search Engine Optimization supports that mission by helping patients, caregivers, and physicians discoveraccurate, trusted MSK information across search engines, local listings, reviews, and emerging AI-powered discovery experiences.Role OverviewSupport and evolve MSK's search engine optimization strategy across organic search, local listings, and online reviewsHelp modernize SEO practices, including optimizing content for LLMs, generative search engines, and AI-influenced discoveryPartner with listings vendors to helpmaintainaccurate, consistent, and compliant location data across platformsCollaborate with survey and review vendors to strengthen review monitoring and response processesWork cross-functionally with Marketing & Communications, Legal, clinical stakeholders, and operations teamsMonitor search performance and visibility trends, translating findings into clear, practical insightsAssistwith establishing standards and best practices that promote accuracy, trust, and consistency in search resultsStay informed on evolving search technologies and AI-driven discovery to inform future recommendationsHandle visibility or reputation-related issues with professionalism, sound judgment, and sensitivityKey Qualifications5-8 years of experience in SEO, search, or digital visibility rolesDirect healthcare SEOexperience,including familiarity with regulated or highly scrutinized contentStrong understanding of local search, listings management, and location-based discoveryExperience working with vendors or platforms supporting listings and review managementHands-on experience with SEO tools and technologies (e.g., BrightEdge,Yext, Schema, analytics platforms)Core SkillsCollaborative, relationship-driven approach to working with diverse stakeholdersComfort navigating evolving priorities, new search behaviors, and emerging technologiesCuriosity and willingness to learn, especially around AI-driven and generative search trendsClear, thoughtful communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesProfessional judgment and discretion when addressing sensitive or high-visibility situationsAdditional Information:Schedule:Hybrid; 1 time a week at various MSK locations in New York CityLocation:633 Third Avenue, New York, NYReporting toSenior Director, Digital Content StrategyHelpful Links:Compensation PhilosophyBenefitsPay Range: $111,600.00 - $178,600.00FSLA Status: ExemptClosing: At MSK, we believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects your job, experience, and skills.MSK is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
