VMware Administrator

Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for a VMware Administrator.Job Type: Contract (6+ months)Job Location: Spokane WA, Concord CA, Atlanta GA, or RemoteWork Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite or remotePay Rate: $70-85 per hour based on experienceResponsibilitiesManage and maintain a large-scale VMware vSphere environment (1000+ VMs), including vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.Perform performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of complex VMware issues.Implement and manage VMware High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.Configure and manage virtual networking (vSwitches, distributed switches, VLANs) and storage solutions.Automate VMware tasks using PowerShell and PowerCLI.Ensure security compliance and implement VMware security best practices.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the VMware environment.Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.Participate in on-call rotation.Qualifications5-7 years of hands-on experience as a VMware Administrator in large enterprise environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification is a plus.Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere, vSAN, and related technologies.Strong understanding of storage and networking concepts.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and PowerCLI.Experience with VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) or similar automation tools is highly desirable.Experience with VMware NSX is a plus.Experience with hardware from vendors such as Dell and HPE is a plus.Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.J-18808-Ljbffr
