Senior Client Accounting Services Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Client Accounting Services (CAS) Accountant to join our growing Client Accounting Services practice. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning client relationships, delivering high-quality financial reporting, and mentoring junior team members in a public accounting environment. The Senior CAS Accountant will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee month-end and year-end close activities, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a variety of industries. Can work from our NYO or our Jericho office. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned CAS clients Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Review and finalize financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by staff Address more complex accounting matters, including accruals, revenue recognition, and multi-entity accounting Prepare audit‑ready schedules and coordinate with audit and tax teams as needed Analyze financial results and explain trends and variances to clients Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow analysis Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies Train, mentor, and provide feedback to Staff and Experienced Accountants Support accounting system implementations, clean‑ups, and conversions Ensure consistent documentation, controls, and adherence to firm standards Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or outsourced accounting services Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Prior experience reviewing staff work and managing deadlines Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms Strong communication and client-service skills CPA preferred or actively pursuing #J-18808-Ljbffr
