Role Summary The dietitian performs comprehensive nutritional assessments and collaborates with the interdisciplinary medical team to prescribe, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans. Roles and Responsibilities Serve as a department representative as part of the hospital clinical care team Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety and sanitation regulations Develop and implement menus that align with clinical and nutritional standards Educate patients on prescribed diets and nutritional supplements related to diagnoses Provide recommendations for enteral and parenteral nutrition support Assess patients for malnutrition and develop appropriate nutrition interventions and care plans Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in food service management software Provide inpatient nutritional counseling Demonstrate flexibility by assuming additional appropriate responsibilities as needed Required Skills and Experience Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian. Candidates may still be considered if they are eligible to sit for the Registration exam- must complete and pass exam within 6 months of hire Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics Preferred Skills and Experience Master's degree One (1) year of experience in an acute care setting Preferred skills are not required to be considered for this role.
