Quality Supervisor
Develops, promotes and maintains a safe workplace. Keeps safety awareness high and ensures that all employees are aware that safety is the company’s number one priority. Monitors and ensures company compliance with all policies and procedures such as, safety, QC inspection, human resources, etc,Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution and administers discipline notices as appropriate.Ensures seamless transition between shifts (i.e., assess priorities / activities / staffing for all work cells).Assesses individual performance of team members and coordinates training of new hires as well as ongoing production training for all employees as needed (in conjunction with Quality Leads and Trainers).Supports Quality Leads and Technicians in investigating quality issues, as needed, and makes decisions as priorities / resources change.Performs administrative functions such as producing quality reports, supporting meetings, managing timekeeping, etc.Collaborates with production shift supervisors on any previous shift quality hold to determine disposition.Ensures all quality audits and retests are completed and documented on current shiftResponsible for planning crew staffing on each shift and scheduling OT as required while balancing employee preference and business needsEnsures all labs and floor level cabinets are 5S complaintManage proactive project to resolve chronic issues and involve in continuous improvementPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisesDirectly: Either A/B or C/D crews Quality Leads, Quality Technicians, Quality Trainer (Day or Night)Scope Of PositionSupervises Quality Technicians, Quality Leads, and Quality Trainers. Assist with the day to day operations of the manufacturing facility.Know How, Experience, Education And CompetenciesMust have the following:A minimum of 7 years of quality & manufacturing experience at Trex or in an equivalent manufacturing environmentA minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentCurrently in a Quality Lead or higher positionHighly effective oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsS.
