Director of Transportation

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must have no convictions of a felony or past criminal history, be in good health as evidenced by completion of a physical examination as prescribed by the Board. Must be of good character and moral behavior; must have proper administrative certification as required by the Kentucky Department of Education; must have valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with school bus endorsementRESPONSIBILITIES:To supervise and coordinate all aspects of the following areas:MechanicsInsurance ProgramsTransportationInventory ControlField Trip ManagementDistrict vehicle inspectionBITSDriver Training ProgramCoordinate School ClosingsPerform other tasks and duties as assigned by the superintendent or his designeeTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Work year is comprised of the number of school days as set forth on the school calendar and 55 extended employment days as designated by board policy.Salary commensurate with adopted certified personnel salary schedule, extended day salary and administrative index.Sick leave and personal leave provided as stated in board policy.
