Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Lake Mary, FL Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:Demonstrates core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownershipServe as the primary electrical technical authority for construction and commissioning, providing expert guidance across assigned projectsLead development, review, and approval of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures; validate designs, analyses, and field execution for AC/DC systemsInterpret and verify complex electrical documents, including drawings, protection schemes, wiring diagrams, load lists, and equipment data, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and Mitsubishi specificationsLead resolution of complex site and design issues, including protection, controls, integration, and commissioning challenges; support RCAs and corrective actionsProvide authoritative technical direction to Site Managers, TFAs, contractors, and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant executionOversee construction support planning, protection coordination studies, relay settings, short-circuit analyses, and alignment with project schedulesReview and approve technical submittals, PARs, bid evaluations, and major equipment acceptance through cross-functional collaborationMentor and develop engineers, promote best practices, drive standardization of electrical procedures, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and technical excellenceSenior Electrical Engineer Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering10+ years of experience supporting Gas Turbine, CCGT, or large power-generation electrical systemsDeep experience with GT controls, excitation systems, relays and protection, high-voltage distribution equipment, and commissioning practicesExperience with P6 or similar scheduling tools is desirableStrong understanding of ISO procedures, OSHA requirements, and power plant safety protocolsTravel domestically/internationally up to 20–30% as requiredSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
