Business Development & Operations Mgr. – Butcher Block DivisionLocation: High Point, NCReports to: Owner/PresidentPosition Summary: The Business & Operations Manager will be responsible for building the national distribution channel, managing inventory planning, leading trade show execution (including KBIS). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building a business from the ground up, working across sales, supply chain, and strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesChannel DevelopmentRecruit regional distributors and wholesalersDevelop state territory strategyEstablish tiered pricing structures (Master Distributor/ Regional Distributor / Online)Prevent channel conflict between distributors and online channelsBuild and manage CRM pipeline for distributor recruitmentNegotiate distributor agreements and sales targetsSales and Trade Show ExecutionPrebook meetings with distributors and buyers for Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS)Lead booth strategy, product presentation, and lead captureQualify distributor and wholesale leadsImplement 30-60-90 day follow up systemConvert ≥20% of qualified leads into distribution partnersBuild relationships with kitchen dealers, cabinet shops, builders, and remodeling companiesInventory and Supply PlanningForecast demand based on distributor pipeline and sales velocityPlan reorders based on 60-90 day lead timesManage warehouse inventory levelsControl slow moving and aging inventoryMaintain 4-6 inventory turns annuallyCoordinate container shipment schedulesLogistics & Operations OversightCoordinate port arrivals and container schedulingManage warehouse receiving and storage planningDevelop LTL and truckload freight strategiesImplement damage reduction and packaging improvementsWork closely with warehouse and customer service teamsRequirements5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account managementExperience in kitchen products, building materials, cabinetry, countertops, hardwood products, or home improvement distribution strongly preferredStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsProve ability to develop new accounts and grow revenueExperience managing sales pipeline and ACRM systemsAbility to travel for trade shows, distributor meetings, and industry eventsHighly motivated, entrepreneurial, and strategic thinkerPreferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in companies similar to:Hardware ResourcesWhite Wood IndustriesMSI SurfacesFloor & DécorOr other building materials distribution companies will be strongly considered.BenefitsHealth stipendRetirement PlanDental & Vision CoverageShort-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceCritical Illness InsurancePaid Time OffPaid HolidaysSalary: Negotiable
