Maintenance Foreman
Position Summary The Maintenance Foreperson manages a residential landscape maintenance bed care crew. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills. The Maintenance Foreperson must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service abilities while leading crews and maintaining high-end residential properties. Strong leadership and horticultural knowledge are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities Essential Functions Landscape Maintenance & Horticulture Perform maintenance on high-end residential properties, ensuring quality and client satisfactionDemonstrate knowledge of horticulture and bed care practicesIdentify and maintain ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, and manage invasive growthExecute seasonal services, including:Spring clean-upsFall clean-upsSnow removal Bed Care & Property UpkeepPerform bed edging, mulching, weeding, raking, and pruningApply chemicals such as fertilizers and weed control products in accordance with safety standardsMaintain clean, organized, and visually appealing landscapesCrew Leadership & OversightAssign duties and direct work in progressTrain and instruct crew members on proper techniques and safety proceduresBalance workloads among team membersInspect completed work to ensure quality standards are metApprove completed workCustomer Service & CommunicationCommunicate effectively with clients regarding services and expectationsProvide a high level of customer service at all timesAddress client concerns and ensure satisfactionDuties may or may not be subject to changeQualifications Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of two (2) years of experience in residential landscape maintenanceStrong knowledge of horticulture, bed care, and plant identificationWorking knowledge of commercial landscape equipmentBasic understanding of irrigation systems and minor repairsKnowledge of proper edging, mulching, and chemical application techniquesSkills and CompetenciesExcellent communication and people skillsAbility to lead and work effectively within a teamStrong problem-solving abilitiesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsMeet all physical requirements of the position.Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations.18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required.Legally authorized to work in the United States.This role is based in an office environment with occasional remote work flexibility.
