Job Summary: As a Clinical Assessor, you will play a crucial role under the direct supervision of the Admissions & Discharge Clinical Manager and collaborating with our clinical staff to conduct thorough clinical assessments. Your responsibilities will ensure a seamless and organized process for handling intake calls, referrals, and admissions. This role involves close coordination with internal staff, facility physicians, referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. Additionally, you will provide essential support in daily administrative tasks, and fulfilling Patient Access Coordinator responsibilities within the department as needed. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive Bio Psychosocial Assessments, including interpretive summaries and preliminary diagnostic impressions. Facilitate referrals to necessary internal services based on completed assessments. Assess for lethality and implement safety plans when necessary. Thoroughly and legibly document all inquiry calls into the EMR, adhering to standards and policies. Engage professionally with patients and families, offering explanations of care and our program as required. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of admission criteria for inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient hospitalization, and outpatient levels of care. Qualifications: Master's Degree with Clinical Licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, LPC) or RN with a psychiatric background required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a mental health intake setting.
