Contract to hireMinimum 5 plus years, more experienced the better, onsite 3 days a weekPosition : PCB Layout EngineerEmployment Type:Contract To HireCity:Mountain ViewState:CA, MAStatus:Accepting CandidatesDescription:Looking for 2 contractors (will want to convert)1 in Mtn View, CA 1 in bostonHybrid- 3 days onsite pick your own daysPCB layout of high-speed, high-density multi-layer printed circuit boards, 14-layers and upCreate a constraint-driven routing methodologyDevelop and maintain a corporate library of component footprintsInterface to outside PCB layout service bureaus when necessaryWork with hardware engineers and PCB fab vendors to create stack-ups, obtain impedance specifications, and resolve technical issues during the PCB fabrication processEnsure the board layouts meet the latest Design For Manufacturability standardsCreate complete output packages including gerbers, fabrication and assembly drawings, odb++, IPC, and placement files Qualifications5+ years of industry experience, including at least one year using Altium Designer (ideal), if they have cadence , that can be considered also)Experience interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate proper constraints in the layout designKnowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standardsExperience designing high speed serial interfaces (25Gbps or higher) and the latest memory interfaces such as GDDR5/6Experience designing DC/DC converters for high efficiency and low noiseFamiliar with Product Lifecycle Management tools, e.g. Oracle Agile, Arena, or Omnify PLM with an understanding of BOM and ECO managementKnowledge of common manufacturing processes
