Activities Assistant (Part-Time) The Fountains & Gardens at Dubois Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and assist in organizing and implementing engaging activities for our residents in a personal care setting. Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and lead recreational group activities for residents in assisted living facilities. - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure activities meet the needs and preferences of the residents. - Assist in coordinating events, outings, and programs that promote socialization and physical well-being. - Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) during activity sessions. - Collaborate with the care team to address aging issues and provide emotional support to residents. Skills: - Experience or interest in working with seniors in a personal care home or assisted living environment. - Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with residents and their families. - Knowledge of event planning and scheduling management to create diverse activity programs. - Understanding of social work principles and aging issues counseling. - Ability to work collaboratively with a team to enhance the quality of life for residents.
