Pay Rate: $16.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing shift SUMMARY: To welcome guests and provide superior service. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. May be 16 years of age or older.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet and seat guests following rotation proceduresAsk the guest for feedback on their meal and invite them back as they departOperate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalentsComplete daily register transactions and make vault depositsAnswer questions, and offer event and promotional informationAssist with cleaning floors, arranging tables and filling water glasses and coffee cupsKeep management updated on business flowStock cashier supplies and complete daily and weekly cleaning dutiesKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and Certification Required:6 months restaurant experience in guest service positionPrevious cash handling experiencePreferred:Knowledge of point-of-sales softwareSkills Required:Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbove average math skillsAbilities Required:Ability to work fast and efficiently completing multiple tasks in a professional mannerAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voiceREQUIRED TRAININGTreasure Island guest service trainingTIPS training and certificationBloodborne Pathogens trainingTreasure Island food handling proceduresAny position-related training as determined by department managerPHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hoursMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneelMust be able to reach and twist routinelyMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift up to 15 pounds occasionallyMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationWORKING ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in the restaurant but may require going onto the gaming floor which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be requiredOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
